Third baseman David Wright cracked 2 homeruns as the Fleetwood Walkers staged
a dramatic comeback over the Superior Blues by a score of 8 to 7 at SAFECO
Field.

Fleetwood scored the winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 3 runs. Asdrubal
Cabrera kicked off the action when he drew a walk. Brian Bogusevic was next
and he drew a walk. Nick Markakis then banged out a single. Markakis took
second on a stolen base. Jim Thome came up to bat and was walked
intentionally to load the bases. After an out was recorded, Carlos Beltran
stepped in and he drew a walk. Alex Avila followed next and he hit a
sacrifice fly. This was the kind of game that many fans love as the lead
changed hands 5 times.

The victory went to Jason Grilli(1-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Andrew Bailey(0-1) in relief. Rube Foster was
all smiles after the game, 'To pull a game out in your last at bats, is a
beautiful feeling - and did you see how quiet it got out there? You could
have heard a pin drop when we took the lead. But, hey, that's what makes
baseball so great - as the great sage Yogi Berra says, 'it's not over 'til
its over.'
