The Superior Blues pitching coach might be looking for a new job soon. His
team allowed 17 runs while Tim Lincecum(8-3), with relief help from Edward
Mujica, allowed Superior 4 runs in a laugher.

Springfield scored 12 runs in the 3rd inning when they had 10 base hits. That
was all the offense they were to need. Springfield bats were very productive
in the 3rd inning with 12 runs on 10 hits and the 7th inning when they had 4
runs on 3 hits. Springfield ended up with 16 hits for the game while
Superior had 6.

Javier Vazquez(6-2) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around by
Springfield, allowing 5 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings. 'It's been a
rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Monty Burns, 'Maybe
this will put us back on track.'

Blues Win 8-5.

The Superior Blues and the Parkland Green locked up in an exciting one-run
game at SAFECO Field. The final score was the Superior Blues 4, the Parkland
Green 3.

Ervin Santana(4-5) gave Superior a solid outing. He went 8 innings
surrendering 4 hits and 7 walks seeing his ERA drop from 3.55 to 3.30.
Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning.

Andrew Bailey recorded the save, his 7th. Kenley Jansen(1-3) was tagged with
the loss in relief. Despite the loss, he struckout 4 Superior batters in 1
and 2/3 innings.

The win by Superior is a very welcome one as they have been struggling in
recent days. Their record now stands at 30-30 - only 2-8 in their last ten
games. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Parkland is 2-8 lately and
22-38 on the year.

The Parkland Green ended a long winless drought and bested the Superior Blues
by a 7 to 3 score at SAFECO Field.

Ryan Vogelsong(4-4) was the winning pitcher in relief. He went 5 and 1/3
innings and surrended up 3 hits and 3 walks reducing his ERA from 4.44 to
4.14. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with no runs
scored after that point.

The loss was charged to Tommy Hanson(4-3). He was touched for 3 homeruns in
his 3 and 2/3 innings of work. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Jake Keenan sighed.
'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much
time in the desert lately.'
