Pineda(5-1) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Boston offense. He
surrendered only 3 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 3.10
to 2.54. Superior rapped out 14 hits for the night.
Chris Volstad(1-6) ended up with the loss. He served up 3 gopher balls in 7
and 1/3 innings.
