Tommy Hanson reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts and Justin Upton had 2 base
hits as the Superior Blues defeated the Lancaster Shermans 3 to 2 at SAFECO
Field.
 
Hanson(8-3) pitched well for Superior in their victory.  He allowed 6 hits and
4 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.  Both teams totaled 8 hits on the night.
 
Rafael Betancourt got the save, his 13th.  Tim Wakefield(4-10) was tagged with
the loss.  Hanson was pleased with his performance.  He noted, 'I had good
zip on my pitches.  Just as important, my location was right on.  The fans
really got into the game too - that always helps me.  Now, if I can only do
that again in my next outing.'
