The Latrobe Steel batters feasted on the Superior Blues pitching at SAFECO
Field. The final score was a lop-sided 11 to 0.

Max Scherzer(7-8) was solid in the win. He was stingy on the mound, allowing
just 2 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings. Scherzer struckout 7 Superior batters
lowering his ERA to 4.11. Latrobe had 11 hits for the game and Superior had
4.

Tommy Hanson(8-5) was given the loss. He pitched 6 innings giving up only 3
hits and 1 walk. For Latrobe the victory was a welcome one, indeed. They had
been struggling in their last ten games with a disappointing 1-9 record.
With the loss, Superior has a record of 5-5 lately, 49-47 overall.
