Paul Maholm(7-4) and Felix Hernandez(3-10) dueled it out with Maholm and the
Lancaster Shermans coming out on top of the Superior Blues by the score of 2
to 1.
 
Maholm delivered a fine performance for Lancaster.  He went 6 innings allowing
4 hits and 4 walks reducing his ERA from 4.37 to 4.08.  Superior had a chance
to come back in the 9th but they came up short.  
 
Jonny Venters gained credit for his 14th save.  'Ahhh, that victory was surely
needed.  Man alive, things were getting awfully grim,' noted Russ Jurecki.
'Now, we need to string a bunch of wins together and turn things around!'
